Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, hope, and the ongoing work of building stronger communities. On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Texas finally received the news that they were free — a moment now honored as Juneteenth.

At Boys & Girls Club of Walker County, we believe every child deserves the freedom to dream, learn, grow, and succeed. Through our programs in Walker County and our Trinity Site, we provide safe, positive places where youth can receive academic support, build character, develop leadership skills, enjoy healthy activities, and connect with caring mentors who believe in their future.

For this one-day Juneteenth campaign, we are asking our community to make a gift in honor of freedom, opportunity, and great futures.
